The hotel came about from the unification and reconstruction of three historic heritage buildings. As inspiration for the hotel, the owners drew on the artwork of Czech artist Josef Váchal, who used to meet with his friend Josef Portman in the original pub Na sklípku, which previously occupied this space. References to Váchal’s work appear everywhere - for example, in the shape of the furniture or the graphic design on various surfaces.
