With their turbulent history, the Ore Mountains are a treasure trove of rediscovered magical places, and we recently stumbled upon one in the forgotten town of Kovářská. The Krob family decided to renovate an old stable, blending traditional mountain architecture with modern minimalist design.

Surrounded by deep forests and endless meadows, Kovářská sits on the edge of the municipality, not far from the well-known Klínovec resort. This generously sized building offers shelter from the unpredictable mountain weather for up to 18 guests, who can sleep in five bedrooms. At the heart of the house is a spacious common room with a fireplace, an open kitchen, and large walk-through windows leading to a sun-drenched terrace with breathtaking landscape views.

Klínovec, Neklid, and Boží Dar are just around the corner—less than a 10-minute drive away. Across the German border, you’ll see Oberwiesenthal and Fichtelberg. No need to worry about parking—there’s plenty of space for up to 10 cars right by the amazing place.

In the mountains, wellness is about long hikes, cycling trips, and winter sports. After an active day, unwind in the sauna and relax by the fireplace.

The building is spacious, and in summer, you can also make the most of the large terraces, which are perfect for sunbathing and barbecuing.
