There is a high demand for design accommodation and this time we have a gem for you. Czech architects from Atelier SAD recently came up with a building that is a perfect example of modern architecture and design and offers a connection with the surroundings thanks to large glass windows.
Port X serves not only as an accommodation, if you are a fan of this architectural piece, you can purchase it as a separate house for a family or a company that you can anchor on water or place on a meadow. Great advantage being that it can be easily assembled and relocated to another location or even made larger when the family / company grows. The construction offers the possibility of placing solar collectors in combination with a backup source, a water tank - and, if used as a houseboat, also a toilet independent of sewer.
The houseboat is currently anchored in Prague's Holešovice district and presents a generous space for its guests. The apartment for four people is 150 meters square, which is approximately as much as two apartments in a residential block of flats. The equipment is luxurious and only the best brands made the cut. The bedroom has a king size bed made from natural materials, another two guests can sleep on a fold out bed. The kitchen is fully equipped, the living room is spacious and there is a beautiful outdoor terrace. The guests will enjoy an overall pleasant clean and cozy interior design, all made from wood.
WHAT CAN YOU DO THERE
Holešovice is an interesting neighborhood waiting to be discovered. It offers historic and modern architecture, many cultural sights such as the DOX (center for modern arts), La Fabrika cultural space, Jatka 78, Veletržní palác and many others. Walk lovers can head to Stromovka, gastro files can pop by foodie gems like SaSaZu or Phil's Corner and Toastárna. If you wish to walk up to the Prague Castle, you can do so through Letná.
