This seemingly forgotten part of Western Bohemia impressed us. Far views across undulating meadows and fields, dense forests and a peace and quiet outside time and space. And there, we discovered this historical gem with a new look after a successful reconstruction. U Babi is a log cabin that will welcome you with cosy arms and provide a temporary home you'll want to go back to on a regular basis.

This area is no man's land, near the German border, in the westernmost part of the Karlovy Vary region. The surrounding villages tell the stories of solidarity between Czechs and Germans through the preserved houses of local farmers, some even 250 years old. U Babi log cabin was completely reconstructed in 2015 and it now offers modern comfort with the authentic look of folk architecture.

Our timbered house is a historically valuable building estimated to be 200-250 years old. The combination of modern technology with the character of the original building offers a pleasant experience and evokes a relaxing atmosphere and peace. Roubenka is located in the middle of the nature of Ašský výběžek, at the same time near the historic towns of Cheb and Františkovy Lázně.
