Our tips
For skiing enthusiasts
The Turnov and Kozákov ski areas are just 10 minutes away, Ještěd is 30 minutes away and Harrachov or Rokytnice are 40 minutes away. Strap on your cross-country skis and head out right from the cottage, or go enjoy one of the countless trails in the nearby Jizera Mountains. In the summer, delight in the endless array of cycling and hiking trails in the immediate vicinity.
Tile stove
The ground floor offers a spacious living room with a modern kitchen and a traditional tiled stove - with sleeping on top, of course! Not only will the radiant heat and crackling fire lull you into a state of bliss, but so will the tailor-made mattress from sheep wool. Ah yes, just like in the olden days!
Genius loci
The cottage rests on a Celtic sacred place - Mount Kozákov. The house is built according to traditional methods and with the utmost respect for the environment, modern trends and well-being. All the materials and craftsmen are as local as possible. The doors, windows, stairs and furniture are made of solid larch, which is said to energize the body and soul, bolster confidence and help solve complicated life dilemmas.
Virgin Mary Kozákovská
Right by the cottage stands a chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary of Kozákov. Like the whole cottage, it was designed by architect J. Klimeš. The Madonna is an original work by the master sculptor Miroslav Lauschmann. Mary mother of Jesus sits directly on Kozákov hill. Local minerals found at the foot of Kozákov were used in its modeling and the entire structure is completed by another work of art - a lattice in the style of Baroque illusionism. It was forged by Mr. David Skrbek, a skilled blacksmith.
